Tuition Fees
From 2008, 50 percent of places available to Australian students in the JD will be Commonwealth Supported Places. Of these, a minimum of 20 percent will be awarded on access and equity grounds. The remaining CSPs will be awarded on the basis of published selection criteria.
All other places are available on a full-fee basis. The indicative total course fee for students commencing in 2008 will be $81,900^.
Assistance with fees
FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists eligible students to pay their tuition fees.
The FEE-HELP limit in 2008 is $81,600. A loan fee of 20% applies to FEE–HELP loans for undergraduate courses of study only.
Commonwealth Supported Places
As a Commonwealth supported student your tuition costs are subsidised by the Government. Students who commence study in a Commonwealth supported place at the University of Melbourne in 2008 will pay the student contribution amounts by subjects in the disciplines and courses. Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy
As of 1 January 2008 students undertaking the Melbourne JD will be eligible to apply for Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy.
