Melbourne Law School is the only law school in Australia with a Careers Office based in the faculty – students at other Australian universities must use their general careers office.
This unique service provides our students with comprehensive career advice throughout their entire law degree and allows you to start planning your dream career from the very beginning of your studies!
Melbourne Law School’s Careers Office provides:
- One on one careers consultations with a legally qualified staff member
- Up to date information on job opportunities through the Law School Careers website, including articles (or traineeships as they are soon to be called), clerkships, alternative careers, part-time and voluntary positions etc.
- Interesting and insightful careers presentations from employers and alumni throughout your degree so you can work out which career path best suits you
- Regular email updates and careers newsletters to keep you informed of new jobs and other opportunities
- Access to international law firms who regularly visit the law school to meet and interview our students as potential employees
- Assistance with résumé preparation and interview tips to help you land your dream job!
