Jacqueline is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Melbourne and member of the Victorian Bar.
Her main research interests are juries, advocacy, professional misconduct and justice systems. She has completed a PhD thesis on the civil jury system, has published articles and presented at international and local conferences on this topic.
Jacqueline co-ordinates the Law School's Advocacy program. She has taught advocacy to practitioners and experts as part of their continuing education at the Australian Advocacy Institute, the Leo Cussen Institute, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Victorian Bar Readers Course.
Prior to joining the law school in 2003, Jacqueline has worked for organisations such as the Victorian Legal Profession Tribunal and the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria, the Supreme Court of Victoria (as Associate to the Honourable Mr Justice Sir James Gobbo AC) and Mallesons Stephen Jaques. As a member of the Bar, Jacqueline specialised in professional negligence and misconduct. She was primarily briefed by disciplinary bodies such as the Legal Profession Tribunal, Victorian Lawyers RPA, the Dental Board of Victoria and the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria.
